This video speak about women pass the year, in the 18 and 19 century, their eyes were gazed out windows at a world they were unlikely to ever explore.
At queen Victoria's time, house chores and gossip was the main fact women were supposed to do, most of them would never would leave the places in which they were born. But they were a few Victorian who thought privilege, endurance and not taking "no" for an answer.

The first women was named Marianne North, we are in 1860. She was an amateur gardener and painter, she crossed Atlantic for discovered flowers to paint. She went to every continent except Antartica. She rode donkeys, scaled cliffs and crossed swamps to reach the plants she wanted. She gave back her work in Europe and help lots of people with what she discovered.

The second women's name was Mary Kingsley, London. She was the sheltered daughter of a traveling doctor, she fell ill and died. So, she decided that she would finish the book for him. Peers of her father advised her not to go, because of tropical disease present in Africa, but she doesn't care, she gone by her own. She arrived at Sierra Leone in 1896, with suitcases and a phrase book. In the jungle, she was able to confirme the existence of gorilla, she fighting with crocodiles, being caught in a tornade and other dangerous things.. More, she wrote than a "snake well cook is one of the best meals one gets out here".

But there is also adventuress who break the rules and that is completely in fact with Alexandra David-Neal's story with is our third women. She had studied Eastern religions at home in France, she wanted desperately to prove herself to Parisian scholars of the day. She decided to visit the fabled city of Lhasa in the mountains of Tibet but when she arrived in the border of India, she was forbidden to cross, so she disguised herself as a Tibetan men dressed in a yak fur coat and a necklace of carved skulls. She was arrested in Lhasa, she write than "header the journey is, better is the story"

Adventuress women depending the place and the year have climb their society with the power of curiosity. And leave the society for travel by their own is so inspiring and show us how strong they were and how strong women had to be. Yesterday, today and tomorrow. They have transported freedom and the ability to overcome oneself in the past but also in the spirit of women of the present and those of the future because they are part of history.
