Talk about your future and climate change
Sun 29 Mar - 15:42
Hello to all,
This week, I thought we'd try something new and communicate with each other.
1- After doing your exercises and understanding the grammar lessons in your book page 160, post here your answers to exercise 3.
2- Go to page 158 and answer question 2 here: explain which poster you would choose to denounce climate change and why.
3- Comment at least once on another student's work.
I'll comment and intervene too.
I'm checking on my students' list all the participants' names.

Exercise 3:
if we do nothing, the temperatures will get hotter.
If we do nothing, the ozone layer will disappear.
if we do nothing the Antarctic ice sheet will melt and this will have serious consequences for the many species.
Q.2 p 158:
to denounces climate change, I would use the second poster because it shows an hourglass or inside, we see the planet earth at the top and at the bottom there is like a cloud of dark pollution with buildings that can be industries. Then we can deduce that we have little time before the pollution absorbs the earth.

Exercice 3 page 160:
If we do nothing the earth's temperatures will rise quickly.
If we do nothing the ozone layer will deteriorate more and more.
If we do nothing the Antarctic ice sheet will melt and cause the water to rise.
Question 2 page 158:
To denounce climate change I would choose the second poster. This shows an hourglass where we see the earth falling like sand on a factory surrounded by black clouds. Factories are a source of pollution so this shows that pollution is a big environmental issue that needs to be addressed more.

N°3 page 160
If we do nothing, the earth's temperature will rise.
If we do nothing , the ozone layer will disappear .
if we do nothing ,the Antartic ice sheat will melt.
N°2 Page 158
I chose the poster "an inconvenient sequel Truth to power" because it denounces climate change more.We can see on the poster that the earth is slowly emptying of its resources and that it will disappear.

3 p 160
If we do nothing, the earth temperatures will rise.
If we do nothing, the ozone layer will be destroy.
If we do nothing, the antarctic ice sheet will melt and have an imapct on sea.
2 p 158
To denounce climate change, i choose poster number 2 because this raise awareness us more than the other. The climate change is represented like a hourglass as if the time was counting and as if the earth could become a dust. We understand that if we do nothing, it's possible that our earth will don't resist to climate change.

Re: Talk about your future and climate change
Wed 1 Apr - 13:00
3 page 160
If we do nothing the earth's temperature will go up and there will be more and more natural disasters.
If we do nothing there will be a hole in the ozone layer.
If we do nothing the Antarctic ice sheet will melt and the sea level will rise and shallow up lands.
2 page 158
To denounce climate change, I would choose the second one because the hourglass represents the passage of time and the more time passes the more the earth becomes a dark and polluted world

Exercise 3 p160 :
If we do nothing, the earth’s temperatures will increase and will generate the drought.
If we do nothing, the ozone layer will degrade.
If we do nothing, the Antarctic ice sheet will disappear, will melt and the ocean’s level will increase.
Question 2 p158 :
For denounce climate change, I choose the poster 1 because the gigantic wave show the consequences of global warming (the ocean’s level increase). This poster of the film “Geostorm” may shock and therefore make the public react. And the where the wave stays in the air until it back down, may represent the time left like egg timer.

Good work to all, so far.
My advice would be for the next students: read the posts before adding your answer, then complete what you were going to write. Particularly for question 2.

3p160 + 2p158
Thu 2 Apr - 16:57
3p160:
If we do nothing, the earth's temperatures will rise.
If we do nothnig, the ozone layer will be damaged.
If we do nothing, the Antarctic ice sheet will melt.
2p158
I choose the poster on the right because it represents climate change well. On the poster we see an hourglass. On the poster it says: "an incovenient sequel truth to power". At the top of the hourglass, we see the earth that becomes sand. Down below you can see a city with factories that represent pollution. This shows us that the Earthbecome polluted.

Ex 3 page 160:
If we do nothing for the climate change, the earth’s temperature will increase a lot and affect our planet.
If we do nothing for the ozone layer, it will grow and let past a lot sunbeams, so the earth’s temperature risks to increase.
If we do nothing for the melting of the Antartic ice sheet, animals won’t have any habitat.
Question 2 page 158:
I choose the poster on the right for denounce the climate change, because we can see at the middle of the poster an hourglass, which, for me, means that the time is counted for try to save the world and avoid big storms and the climate change. It means that we have to fight for save our world.

Ex 3 p160
If we do nothing, the earth's temperatures will increase and creating lot's of problems like some extinction of animal species.
If we do nothing the ozone layer will be destroy with some serious consequences on the earth temperature.
If we do nothing the Antarctic ice sheet will melt with dramatics consequences to some animals.
Question 2 p158
I choose the right poster to denounce the climate change because it explain the idea of the time. If we do nothing in a some time, the earth will seriously damaged.
I think my classmates' answers is good. And I like see the point of view of different people.

3p160:
If we do nothing, the earth’s temperatures will become extremely hot or cold.
If we do nothing, the ozone layer will totally disappear.
If we do nothing, the Antartic ice sheet will melt and the water will rise.
2p158:
I would choose the poster 2 to denounce climate change because the first shows unreal and I think we can change the climate change if we do it in time.
